a bit more challenging. wind was 20 - 26 @ spillway. Rigged my 8.5 Retro @ mid setting again, made one run and it was to much, downhauled it to max setting (7.5) Wind was light getting out and cranking in the channel out to the dam, stayed that way the entire morning. Had to keep sail flattened out 90% of the time for first hour. Got into water @ 7:30, ripped until 8:30 when Steve and Eddy came out kiting. Wind dropped off by then, let out sail to min. setting (8.5) continued planning until wind dropped off around 10:00.Betsy:
Morning wind at Lucky Peak was decent today, though apparently it was a bit holey before I arrived at about 7:15. Nick and Chris Lee were out tearing it up. Having inadvertently brought Charlie's boom instead of mine (#@!%), i finally got on the water at 7:45 and found it solid and just right for my usual 5.5 Just before I went out, Jim V. headed out on his big 8.5, and came right back in for adjustments due to too much sail. After about 45 minutes, though, I hit a couple of big holes and decided to come in and head to work. As I drove across the dam just before 9, there were still at least one sail and a kite or two (including Steve L.) on the water, and it still looked like they were having fun.
