About face, the view is not the lovely parkscape we enjoyed when we were here, but now more apartment buildings. We didn't feel like we were in a big city, but it sure looks like one now.
My trusty bike is the same one I pedaled to classes. It turned 20 this year. I think bicycles are beautiful, and bicycling a wonderful expression of humanity. Human powered vehicles.
I'm still toting around the sketch I did of that hydrant, closer to 11 years ago now, an exercise in using a grid to get proportions right. (The blobs are experimenting with media on the bleeding edge.)
