Saturday morning, stepping outside of our tent cabin in the coolness, we were greeted by a crystal clear blue sky, and first sun on Glacier Point, almost straight up over our heads.

Hanglider MoonSaturday and Sunday mornings had a crescent moon in the blue sky over Curry Village. On both days there was at least one person hanggliding over the valley. What a thrill that must be! |

The Awahnee HotelMorning at the plush hotel in Yosemite valley, deep in tall tree shade. We innocently walked around to inspect the beautiful spaces inside, found a nice coffee service on the second floor overlooking the Great Hall, and then saw the sign that said these areas were for hotel guests, thankyouverymuch. Oh well. :-) |
